Welcome to the Coffin, Casket and Shroud Association
(CCSA)

Objectives

The Coffin Casket and Shroud Association (CCSA) has three main objectives:

* To set a standard for all coffins, caskets and shrouds sold in the UK, in         particular those used for cremation. And to publicise those companies       which have met this standard.
* To encourage manufacturers of these products to adopt more green-           minded practices in all aspects of their work.
* To help bring alternative and innovative goods into the mainstream,             particularly those produced by start up companies.

Why do I need my coffins tested?

In order to ensure coffins used for cremation are safe and ready to use, these tests have been carried out by a UKAS accredited and independent testing house in accordance with the Coffin and Casket Testing Protocol developed between 2013-2018.

What happens after the coffin has been tested?

You will be notified by the testing houses & the CCSA on the results of the tests, as soon as they are made available.
